Welcome to Washington-Henry Elementary School!
It is my honor and privilege to serve as principal of this wonderful school community. This summer I have enjoyed getting to know the most amazing students, staff, and families! We work hard at Washington-Henry to help each one of our students realize their talents and strengths through relationships, collaboration, and service opportunities.
I am excited to embark on this new adventure with our families and help our students continue to grow. There may be twists and turns along the way, but we are going to have fun on this journey together!
I am joining Washington-Henry with 16 years of experience as an educator. My educational experiences include 10 years as a classroom teacher in Henrico County Public Schools where I taught 3rd and 4th grades while serving in a variety of leadership roles before joining Chesterfield County Public Schools in 2016.
While in Chesterfield County I had the privilege of serving as dean of students at Salem Church and Marguerite Christian Elementary Schools simultaneously before becoming assistant principal at Marguerite Christian Elementary. A position I held for two years before joining team Hanover. Most recently, I served as assistant principal of Laurel Meadow Elementary School for the past two years.
I couldn’t be more thrilled that I have the opportunity to serve the students, teachers, and families of the Washington-Henry Community! My door is always open, and I encourage you to reach out to me to share your ideas, thoughts, or concerns.
You can reach me by email or by phone at (804) 723-2300.
Yours in Education,
Shalone Morgan
